Volunteer in Kitale, Kenya – come help us implement social and economic change for sustainable development. Care In Action is a nonprofit organization working in
Kitale, Kenya.We run an orphanage home and nursery school, where we host, educate and assist vulnerable children. We need volunteers to help in different areas such as teaching, playing with kids, cooking, fundraising and more.

  • Encourage care of the environment.
  • Help to eradicate poverty in the society.
  • Build an orphanage home for the orphans.

4–5 hours of help per day

4 days of help per week – 3 days off

Volunteers’ benefits
  • Volunteers receive a certificate after finishing their volunteering period.

They can also learn:

  • The traditional way of cooking.
  • Our language, Swahili.
  • Traditional ways of dressmaking.
What to do in free time – volunteers can visit:
  • Local markets.
  • Mountains and hills, for example Mount Elgon and Cherengany Hills.
  • National parks such as Mount Elgon National Game Reserve and
    Saiwa National Park.

English and Swahili.

Geography

The area is highland, generally cool and wet.

How to get to your site

From Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you can take a modern bus to Kitale, where the organization is located.

Yes.

Yes, we can accommodate eco / responsible tourists and paying guests.
