Belarus
Warning ❗
Belarus is currently considered a high-risk destination. At the time of this review, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office advises against all travel to Belarus, and the U.S. Department of State lists Belarus as Level 4: Do Not Travel. Current concerns include the security situation, the risk of arrest or detention and the arbitrary enforcement of local laws.
This page is maintained as an archive and some listings may be outdated or inactive. Before considering any trip, check the latest travel advice issued by your own government and confirm current entry requirements, insurance coverage and project conditions independently.

Volunteering opportunities in Belarus
This page is an archive of volunteering opportunities in Belarus, including work exchanges and other projects previously published on Voluntouring.org. Some listings may be outdated, seasonal or no longer active, and their presence in this archive should not be interpreted as a recommendation to travel.
How to use this page
Open the opportunity you are interested in and check its publication date and any activity dates mentioned in the listing. If the project still appears to be active, read the full announcement and use the contact details provided there to communicate directly with the organiser.
Before making any plans, confirm the current availability, location, expected activities, schedule, accommodation, meals, costs and cancellation arrangements directly with the host or organisation.
Voluntouring does not organise placements, arrange travel or mediate between volunteers and hosts. Older announcements are retained for archival and informational purposes.
Visas, entry requirements and insurance
Visa and entry rules for Belarus depend on nationality, length and purpose of stay and can change at short notice. Do not rely on information contained in an older volunteering announcement when determining whether you can enter or remain in the country.
Check the latest information from the relevant Belarusian authorities and the official travel advice issued by your own government. If an organiser mentions visa support or an invitation, confirm exactly what documentation can be provided and whether it meets the requirements applicable to you.
Travel insurance may also be affected by official advice against travel to a destination. Check directly with your insurer whether your policy remains valid and whether the proposed volunteering or work exchange activities are covered.
For additional general guidance, read Voluntouring’s information about safety and legality in volunteering and work exchanges.
Important: publication of a project on Voluntouring.org does not confirm that travelling to Belarus is currently advisable or that an older opportunity remains available. Always rely on current official information when making decisions about travel, visas and personal safety.
