volunteer opportunities database.

Voluntouring.org is an independent directory. We do not organize placements, visas, travel, contracts or insurance.
Hosts and volunteers connect directly.

Before you submit

Please be clear and honest about the help requested, weekly hours, accommodation, meals, days off, costs, location, safety and how volunteers should apply.
Clear information helps us review your opportunity faster and prepare a better listing.

Safety, children and vulnerable people

We do not publish opportunities in orphanages or residential care centres.
If your project involves children, minors, elderly people, disabled people, patients, refugees or other vulnerable people,
volunteers must be properly supervised, must not replace trained staff, and must not have unsupervised responsibility.

Opportunities involving children or vulnerable people may require extra clarification before publication.

Note: These screening standards have been strengthened from January 2026.
Some older listings may still be visible while we review and update our database.

Fees, costs and weekly hours

Please disclose any fee, donation, deposit, membership, contribution or extra cost, even if it is optional.
Requests over 30 hours per week, unclear costs or fee-based programs may require additional review and are not always suitable for Voluntouring.org.

Opportunities that require volunteers to pay a participation fee, course fee, retreat fee, membership or similar cost may be considered more commercial in nature. IIf we decide the opportunity is suitable for publication, we may ask for a publication contribution to support the work of Voluntouring.org.

The publication contribution covers the preparation and publication of the listing. It does not guarantee volunteer applications, enquiries, placements, website traffic or any specific result.

After submitting the form, you can send 3 to 8 photos of your project, accommodation, surroundings, team or activities by email to voluntouring.freelist@gmail.com.
Please only send photos you have permission to share publicly.

Fill in the form below. If your opportunity is compatible and the information is complete, we may move directly toward publication.
If something important is missing, we will contact you with a few focused questions.
Short title that includes place + main activity. Example: “Eco farm in Tuscany: gardening 4–5 hours/day for room and board”.
In 3–6 sentences: who you are, what volunteers do, what you offer (food/accommodation), and key rules. If children or vulnerable people are involved, explain the role and supervision clearly.
Choose the option that fits best. If you work with children or vulnerable people, you will be asked extra safeguarding questions later in the form.
Please specify city/town, region/state, and country. Example: “Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece”.

Required if you selected childcare, teaching, or health support above. If left blank, we may decline the submission or ask for clarification by email.
In a few sentences, explain who you are, what your project does, who benefits, and what kind of experience volunteers can expect. If children or vulnerable people are involved, please mention your safeguarding approach.

We suggest 4–5 hours of help per day.

Most Voluntouring exchanges are based on food and/or accommodation in return for a few hours of help. If accommodation, food or basic living costs are not included, please explain this clearly in the fee/cost section.

If there is no fee or cost for volunteers, please write “No fee”. If volunteers are asked to pay any participation fee, course fee, retreat fee, membership, donation, deposit, contribution or similar cost, please list the exact amount, whether it is required or optional, what it includes, and what is not included. Fee-based or more commercial opportunities are reviewed separately. If we decide the opportunity is suitable for publication, we may ask for a publication contribution to support Voluntouring.org. *Please ensure that you're well-informed about your region's laws related to immigration, volunteering, and hospitality before hosting an international volunteer.
Example: training, language exchange, cultural activities, free time, local support. Please avoid vague promises.
Optional: nearby hikes, beaches, towns, cultural sites, markets, events, etc.
Example: English, Spanish, French. If basic English is needed, say so.

Wi-Fi availability and reliability matters to many volunteers, please be honest.
This helps volunteers understand the setting. It does not affect approval by itself.

If you prefer to send selected photos yourself, please email 3 to 8 photos to voluntouring.freelist@gmail.com after submitting this form. You can also simply reply to our confirmation email and attach the photos there. Please only send or authorize photos you have permission to share publicly.
