An organization is a structured group or institution formed to pursue particular activities or objectives. Volunteer-hosting organizations can include associations, schools, charities, NGOs, non-profits, community groups and public institutions. These terms can overlap, but they do not automatically describe the same legal or organisational status.
Different types of organizations
The organizations in this archive vary considerably in purpose, size, funding and legal structure. Some are small locally based associations, while others operate nationally or internationally. Others may be schools, environmental organisations, cultural associations or public institutions.
An organisation appearing here should not automatically be assumed to be non-profit, charitable, registered as an NGO or independently verified. Check the individual listing and, when legal status matters, confirm the organisation’s registered name and current information directly.
