Volunteering and immigration status in Brazil 🛂🇧🇷
Brazilian immigration rules distinguish between different types and durations of voluntary activity. Official guidance includes provisions for certain short-term voluntary activities and a temporary visa for volunteer services lasting more than 90 days. These rules should not be assumed to cover every informal farm, hospitality or accommodation-for-help exchange, so check your nationality, intended activities and length of stay with the Brazilian authorities before travelling.
