How to use this page
Open the opportunity that interests you and read the full announcement carefully. Check the publication date, activity dates and any application deadline before contacting the host or organisation.
To apply or request more information, look for the contact details at the end of the listing. Depending on the project, these may include an official website, email address or application form.
Before accepting an opportunity, confirm the expected activities, weekly hours, days off, accommodation, meals, exact location, transport arrangements and any fees or contributions directly with the host.
Voluntouring does not organise placements, select volunteers or mediate between volunteers and hosts. Older announcements may remain online for archival and informational purposes.
Entry requirements and insurance
Entry and visa requirements for Georgia depend on your nationality, length of stay and purpose of travel. Do not assume that visa-free entry or a short-term visitor visa automatically covers every type of volunteering or work exchange.
Check the current requirements through the official Georgian Consular Portal before travelling. Depending on your circumstances, you may need to provide information about the purpose of your visit, accommodation, travel and health insurance and sufficient financial means.
Confirm that your travel insurance covers the activities involved in the project, particularly if the opportunity includes physical work, farming, construction, outdoor activities or other tasks that may fall outside standard travel insurance.
Abkhazia and South Ossetia
Important: travel conditions are significantly different in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. At the time of this review, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office advises against all travel to both areas.
If a volunteering opportunity is located near or within a disputed or restricted area, verify its exact location and check current official travel advice, access restrictions and insurance conditions before making any plans.
