Soil, soul & simplicity: volunteering at Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya
Get Your Hands Dirty, Heal the Earth
Tucked away in the quiet hills of southern Poland, far from the rush and noise of modern life, thereโs a place where the earth is sacred, the food is clean, and people live in harmony with nature. Itโs called Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya, and itโs an eco-community, a living example of how we can rebuild our relationship with the land.
And hereโs the good news: theyโre looking for volunteers.
๐ฟ What Exactly Is Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya?
Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya is a sustainable, off-grid community in the countryside of southern Poland. Itโs more than just an eco-farm or a retreat centerโitโs a living community where people live according to principles of ecological responsibility, spiritual growth, and harmony with nature.
Hereโs what defines it:
๐ก Itโs an Ecovillage
That means:

- Homes are built with natural materials
- Food is grown organically on the land
Waste is composted, water is conserved, and life is lived simply
๐ฅ Itโs a Fire Temple and healing Space
Bhrugu Aranya is also a center for Agnihotra, an ancient Vedic fire healing practice. This fire ceremony is performed daily by the community and is said to purify the atmosphere and promote inner peace and balance.
