Originally shared in our Facebook group, this opportunity comes from a warm, creative family living near Loulé, in the Algarve region of Portugal. They’re artists, filmmakers, and storytellers who live intentionally, blending family life with meditation, nature, and conscious work. Now they’re opening their home to someone kind, grounded, and reliable to join them as a volunteer personal assistant.

The role is about much more than admin. You’d be part of their rhythm / helping keep the days flowing, supporting creative projects, and sharing moments of quiet, connection, and care. It’s a full immersion into family and artistic life, in a peaceful space where mindfulness, authenticity, and mutual respect matter.

You’d be helping organise schedules, doing light errands or tidying, preparing meals from time to time, and occasionally supporting their young daughter with activities or play. If you’re comfortable with social media, that’s a bonus, there’s room to support with posts, basic editing, or storytelling. For those with creative experience, there’s also the chance to help on photography or video projects (they shoot weddings and other events). But above all, they’re looking for someone kind and proactive, someone who’s happy to help where it’s needed most that day.

Accommodation

They offer a private or shared room in a cosy home, healthy meals, and a space where you can also focus on your own creative or spiritual practices. You’ll be living with a family that values slowness, sober living, community, and connection.

There’s the option to receive a modest monthly allowance, and if things go well, a heartfelt reference or letter of recommendation too.

They’re ideally looking for someone who can stay at least three months, available around 4 to 6 hours a day, five days a week. Flexibility is appreciated  – what matters more is your attitude. If you’re warm, communicative, and resonate with conscious living, this could be an experience that leaves a mark.

About us

We are a family of creative industry professionals – photographers, filmmakers, and conscious storytellers – currently developing several passion-driven projects focused on holistic living, sober lifestyle advocacy, healing dancing, meditation, and family wellness.

Our life blends creativity with intentional living and we’re seeking a kind, organized, and heart-led person to join us as a “Volunteer Personal Assistant”.

You’ll be supporting both our family rhythms and our evolving creative work, while sharing in a peaceful, inspiring environment where mindfulness, community, and authenticity are valued.

What you’ll be helping with

• Organizing our daily schedules and creative workflows;
• Assisting sometimes with childcare routines for our 10yo daughter (music practice, playtime, organizing activities);
• Light household support (shopping, tidying, errands);
• Supporting us with social media content (posting, basic editing, captions);
• Coordinating travel, meetings and event details;
• Helping with content creation or photography projects (if interested), we organize and film weddings as well: www.algarvewedding.eu;
• Occasionally cooking simple, healthy meals or helping with prep. We eat fish and meat regularly, but skip cow/beef;
• Holding space for creativity, art workshops, calm meditations, and flow dancing.

Who we’re looking for

• Someone genuinely aligned with conscious, holistic and sober living;
• Positive, warm, kind and open to working around children and family energy, dog friendly;
• Proactive, organized and able to take initiative;
• Experience in personal assistance, childcare or creative industries is a plus;
• Tech and social media savvy (Instagram, Canva, TikTok, etc.);
• Speaks English, plus French or Italian is a plus;
• Ideally available for 4–6 hours per day, 5 days a week – flexible.
