What’s the mission of your community?
We aim to connect individuals and groups with the passion to volunteer and give back to society to the very people whose lives depend on it where both parties benefit. We are a grassroots organization that depends on volunteer support to run our community and needy projects in areas that are of concern and importance to women including quarterly distribution of sanitary towels to girls to keep them in school. Educational support to needy but brilliant girls as well as supporting orphanages and poor families. Volunteers signing up with us help us to achieve all this and together we make an impact in the lives of people.
How many volunteers could you host?
40.ย We are in need of as many volunteers as possible (individuals, families and groups).
When would you need volunteers?
All year long.ย Volunteers can sign up anytime and for any duration but we advise a minimum of two weeks if possible.

5 hours
How many days of help per week?

- Volunteers get the opportunity to participate in all our projects.

What to do in the free time
Ghana has a lot of tourist sites that volunteers can visit, there are beaches, safari rides, visit the historic slave castles, canopy walk, butterfly and monkey sanctuaries, waterfalls etc as well as a visit to West Africa’s biggest open outdoor market in the street.
Volunteers are also free to join the town folks for a conversation on our culture, folktales and playing local games, dance etc.ย We have many cash machines that accept Visa, MasterCard etc. as well as Forex to exchange money.
Language
English.
We have different languages for each region and ethnic group. We have the Ghana cedi as our currency. Is the friendliest and hospitable country in Africa. Is peaceful and volunteers are secure to walk around on their own.
Geography
There really is no “best” time to visit Ghana, as the temperature is always Africa-hot and if rainfall doesnโt soak you, then the humid air will. If you prefer your soaking tropical in nature, stick close to the beaches. Whatever the season, the weather gets more arid the farther inland you go. Village-specific festivals and events occur throughout the year. Ghana is a democratic country with 16 regions with Accra being the capital city.
How to get to your site
We do airport pickup for all volunteers. Depending on the project site, volunteers sleep over in Accra for a day if their placement is out of Accra. They join a luxury bus or taxi to the project location with support from our staff. If volunteers are working within Accra, we take volunteers in a taxi to the project location.
Is there internet access?
Yes!
