Volunteer activities

At the moment we are specifically focused on restoring/building with the natural and local materials available: dry stone, clay, river sand and wood from our land in a very traditional way. We also have to build a new electric fence for the animals.

Although this is the main work we need help with, the farm continues to go on its daily needs, so you will have a chance to see our animals grazing happily around, to get to know how we milk them, make cheese and so on…

  1. Hi Team of Quinta da Bazagueda,

my name is Jakob and I would like to know if you are currently taking volunteers.

I found your project on volunteering.org and it totally caught my interest.
I am a 26 years old guy from Germany and travelling around Europe in my van. In Germany, I am a winemaker with a focus on organic production. I just made a grape harvest in the Douro Valley and now Looking for some other Project to do. I would love to gain the experience of working and living on a farm like yours as I am sure it would be of great value in my life and way of Living.

As I am travelling in my van I am pretty flexible about the date to start or end work. Perfectly for me would be to begin in the middle of November and maybe work for around three to four weeks.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Kind regards
    Jakob
