Projects offering potential Visa and/or Invitation Letter Support.
Please read each announcement thoroughly before reaching out to your chosen host organization!ย
Hosts will ignore your requests if they feel you haven’t thoroughly read their listing details. They appreciate when potential volunteers show that they’ve taken the time to understand the specifics of their posting.
How it works ๐
- 1) Some volunteer opportunities offer free food and accommodation in exchange for your help. However, others might ask for a daily or monthly contribution to cover meal and lodging costs.ย Not all areas can offer stays without cost.
- If you’re looking to make a meaningful impact but only have a few weeks to volunteer abroad, consider opting for opportunities that require a financial contribution. This way, you’ll be supporting the cause both with your skills and your funds. It’s often a more impactful choice than simply staying at a hotel or a tourist resort managed by outside agencies.
At Voluntouring, we’re not a travel agency and we don’t charge any middleman fees from the organizations listed here. That means every dollar you contribute goes directly to support the NGOs you choose to work with. Plus, because we eliminate those extra fees, you’ll often find that the cost of these volunteer experiences is generally more budget-friendly.
Important Note on VISA for volunteering โ ๐
- If you’re contemplating using a volunteer opportunity for immigration purposes or other non-volunteer interests, please reconsider.
Most private hosts are unlikely to provide visas or invitation letters, and they often won’t respond to such requests. It’s quite uncommon for hosts to be able to assist with these. - While some organizations might assist with a visa or issue an invitation letter, such measures are typically limited to the duration of the volunteer experience. Afterward, you’ll be required to return to your country of origin. Additionally, attempting to use volunteer programs for migration could expose you to legal risks, including visa violations and potential deportation. It’s important to approach volunteering with genuine intent, rather than as a strategy for immigration or other objectives.
