Projects offering potential Visa and/or Invitation Letter support
Please read carefully! ๐
Most of the hosts and organisations featured on our website are not able to provide visa support or invitation letters. In rare cases, exceptions can be made, but only when the travelerโs intentions are clearly focused on genuine volunteering and cultural exchange, not as a shortcut to long-term immigration.
Hosts may be cautious if they sense that a request is motivated by other purposes, and they may choose not to respond. Even when a volunteer visa is granted, it typically allows for only a short stay, after which the traveller is expected to return to their home country.
Please also refrain from asking for visa assistance or invitation letters if the host has clearly stated they cannot provide them. Depending on the country, doing so could involve serious risks (including legal consequences or expensive fines) for both hosts and volunteers.
We strongly encourage all travellers and hosts to research the appropriate visa requirements for international volunteering in their specific country, to ensure a safe and respectful experience for everyone involved.
Please read each announcement thoroughly before reaching out to your chosen host organisation!ย
Hosts will ignore your requests if they feel you haven’t thoroughly read their listing details. They appreciate it when potential volunteers show that they’ve taken the time to understand the specifics of their posting.
1) The organisations listed below have indicated that they can assist with visa or invitation letters โ either fully, partially, or by providing some form of guidance or support.
2) Some volunteer opportunities offer free food and accommodation in exchange for your help. However, others might ask for a daily or monthly contribution to cover meal and lodging costs. Not all areas can offer stays without cost.
3) If you’re looking to make a meaningful impact but only have a few weeks to volunteer abroad, consider opting for opportunities that require a financial contribution. This way, you’ll be supporting the cause both with your skills and your funds. It’s often a more impactful choice than simply staying at a hotel or a tourist resort managed by outside agencies.
At Voluntouring, we’re not a travel agency, and we don’t charge any middleman fees from the organisations listed here. That means every dollar you contribute goes directly to support the NGOs you choose to work with. Plus, because we eliminate those extra fees, you’ll often find that the cost of these volunteer experiences is generally more budget-friendly.
