What can I do to protect the species in extinction?

There are a variety of habitats and animal species in danger around the world due to poaching, deforestation and a number of other factors. Therefore, environmental conservation can take different forms.

If you prefer to experience contact with animals in natural habitats and enjoy working outdoors, general environmental conservation programs or wild reserves could do for you. These will allow you to participate in research and restoration activities directly in the wilderness.

If instead, you would like to try a more direct relationship with animals, animal rescue centres or sanctuaries could be more suitable for you.

In which countries are conservation projects available?

There is an almost infinite number of countries that need volunteers to work on conservation projects, including some places where you will find different endemic species.

If the idea of going on a safari has always fascinated you, then join a reserve project or national parks in Africa.

If tropical creatures are what interests you most, volunteering in the Amazon rainforest and other rainforests in the Americas may be the best choice for you.

For those in search of oriental and unique experiences, Asia is certainly the place to visit. Many animals that inhabit the continent are found only there, so their protection is even more important.

Working on land conservation projects is not the only option – our marine projects allow you to get in touch personally with precious coral reefs and marine species.
