Browse the announcements below and click on the project that interests you. Always check the publication date, as some volunteering opportunities with children might no longer be available. If the opportunity is still valid, scroll to the section called Contact details. There you can find ways to contact the hosts or organisations, such as websites, email addresses or application forms. Write a clear message, introduce yourselves and wait for their reply.

Volunteer with children as independent travellers

Many of these projects are free work exchanges, where you help for a few hours per day and receive food and accommodation in return. Other hosts ask for a daily or monthly contribution to cover the costs of hosting volunteers, especially in regions where resources are limited and volunteering cannot always be completely free.

If you only have a short time abroad and still want to support childcare or educational projects, choosing a placement with a reasonable fee can be a good option. In this way you support the initiative with your time and skills and also with a financial contribution, instead of spending your budget on hotels or tour packages run by external agencies.

Voluntouring.org is not a tourist agency and does not take any intermediation fees from the organisations listed here. Any contributions you pay go directly to the local projects and to your stay. For this reason, the fees requested by the organisations, when present, are often lower than those charged by commercial intermediaries. Please read each project description carefully and ask questions if something is not clear before confirming your stay.
