  • Teach for Change Program:

This program is free and requires volunteers to commit to more than 8 weeks to be free, with options extending to 6 months for extra TESOL certificate. Volunteers will teach children in various locations, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh, and the Vung Tau region.

  • Community Engagement Program:

In contrast, this program is designed for short-term volunteers (1-2 weeks) who are willing to pay $200 per week. Volunteers will teach university students and participate in English conversation exchanges, with opportunities only in Da Nang city.

Who will volunteers help?
  • Teach for Change

Volunteers will work with children from kindergarten age to primary, secondary school in public school or private center depending on the availability of the host at time.

  • Community Engagement Program

Volunteers will connect with university students aged 18 to 25 who come from different backgrounds in Central Vietnam, a region that is less economically developed than other areas in the country. These students face challenges in accessing English language resources and exposure to a global environment.

Programs Objectives ๐Ÿ“Œ

  • Teach for Change

Connect international volunteers to women-led centers to support English for children while also providing mentoring for women entrepreneurs.

  • Community Engagement Program
    • Educational contribution: Offer valuable teaching experience to improve English skills for the youth, enhancing job opportunities and empowering communities for long-term growth in Centre Vietnam.
    • Cultural immersion: Engage deeply with Vietnamese culture through diverse activities, including exploring Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue, and participating in cultural crafting and local experiences.

Meals are included, featuring home-cooked dishes prepared by local single mothers through the “Her Kitchen” project by C4C. Dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and halal options can be accommodated if requested in advance.

  • Breakfast: Soy milk, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, or sandwiches
  • Lunch: Rice, tofu with tomato sauce, papaya salad, vegetables, minced chicken, and fruit for dessert
  • Dinner: Vietnamese tofu noodle soup, braised eggs with mushrooms, pumpkin soup, stir-fried vegetables, spaghetti, spring rolls, and more

Fee transparency ๐Ÿ†“๐Ÿ”

At the moment, we are seeking volunteers for two main programs:

1. Teach for Change Program:

Teach English to children for 18-20 hours per week in exchange for free meals, accommodation, and a volunteer certificate. We have over 15 locations across Vietnam.

  • Short-term Volunteer
  • TESOL Intern (6 months): granted a free TESOL certificate upon completion

Note: The program is free for volunteers who commit to more than 8 weeks. Volunteers who participate in the short-term program are required to pay a fee.

2. Community Engagement Program:

Ideal for short-term volunteers (minimum 2 weeks) to teach English to local youth (18-23 years old) while experiencing the local culture. This program includes meals and accommodation, starting from $200 per week.

Please note, that as a non-profit organization, all proceeds from these programs go directly to supporting the disadvantaged women and rural children that we aim to serve.
