Poland 🇵🇱
Volunteering opportunities in Poland – Following its accession to the European Union in 2004 and the Schengen Treaty in 2007, Poland has been experiencing strong growth in tourism.
According to data from the Tourism Institute, 15.7 million tourists visited the country in 2006. This number rose to 21.4 million in 2019, a figure that enables Poland to occupy 18th place on the list of the most visited countries in the world. A magnet for potential visitors is the artistic treasures of Polish cities. Krakow, in particular, attracts the largest number of tourists.
The best destinations for recreational tourism include the Masurian Lake Country, the Baltic Sea coast, the Tatra Mountains (the highest mountain range in the Carpathians), the Sudetenland and the Białowieża Forest.
