Joyland Prime Academy is a community-focused school in Kenya that welcomes international and local volunteers to help improve childrenโs education in a safe, caring environment. Volunteers assist with classroom teaching, exercises, homework, and mentoring. The project emphasises cultural exchange, community, and practical impact- without charging program fees.
Joyland Prime Academy aims to support and uplift the local community in Kenya by providing children with a safe, caring, and quality learning environment. Volunteers help by teaching, giving classwork and homework, marking assignments, and mentoring students. Usually two volunteers are needed for one to three months, working Monday to Friday for about four to five hours daily. Accommodation and meals are provided, usually in a private or shared room. Volunteers receive a certificate and can enjoy cultural activities, tours, and cooking during free time. No fees are charged. English and Swahili are spoken, and transport from the entry point costs 30 USD.
