Volunteer opportunity in Tuscany, Italy (from now until October)

We are currently welcoming volunteers from now until October, and you are welcome to join us anytime starting today.

Please note: This opportunity is not for people seeking visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the legal right to stay in Italy.

If this resonates with you, feel free to contact Dimos on WhatsApp: ***********

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in more than just a work exchange experience.

Sentire is a small intentional community in the hills of Tuscany, near Arezzo, where we explore what it means to live, work and grow together.

This is not a place where you simply complete a few hours of work and spend the rest of your time as a tourist.

We invite people who are genuinely interested in community life, self-inquiry and the challenges and possibilities of living closely with others.

Together, we explore questions such as:

  • How do we truly meet one another?
  • How do we communicate honestly?
  • How do we cooperate and make decisions together?
  • What happens when conflicts or difficulties arise?
  • How deeply do we listen, see and understand each other?

Life at Sentire combines practical work with inner exploration.

Volunteers participate in the daily life of the community through activities such as:

  • Outdoor building projects
  • Gardening and agriculture
  • Cooking and caring for shared spaces
  • Supporting weddings, seminars and other community events as part of the team
  • Community meetings and shared responsibilities
  • Movement, creativity, theatre, silent walks and group explorations

We live simply in nature, share vegetarian meals and stay in tents.

We ask for a minimum stay of two weeks, with the possibility of extending if we both feel it is a good fit.

To help maintain a safe and supportive community environment, drugs are not permitted, and this opportunity is not suitable for people who are currently taking psychiatric medication.

There are different ways to participate.

Some people join our community seminars and immersive group experiences. Others come primarily as volunteers and take part in the practical work of the community.

In both cases, participation means becoming part of community life rather than simply helping with tasks.

We are interested in creating a space where work, relationships, learning and self-discovery are not separate things but part of the same experience.

If you are looking for a deeper volunteer experience and are curious about intentional community living, we would love to hear from you.

Come as you are.

Join us in exploring what it means to live and grow together.

  • which community activities, meetings and meal duties are compulsory and whether they are included in the agreed hours;
  • the number of complete days off;
  • the role of volunteers during weddings, seminars, B&B stays and other income-generating activities;
  • whether food, accommodation, utilities and participation are entirely free of charges or deposits;
  • insurance coverage, supervision, training and safety equipment for agricultural or building work;
  • the tent facilities, bathroom access, laundry, internet and secure storage for personal belongings;
  • which meals and ingredients are provided, including arrangements for dinner;
  • the current arrival dates, minimum age, languages used and transport to the property.
