Are you passionate about women’s empowerment, education, and cross-cultural connection?

Harpswell’s Leadership Residents Program in Cambodia is now open for applications, for women from around the world to live and lead alongside the next generation of Cambodian changemakers.

Based in Phnom Penh, the Harpswell Foundation has been fostering women’s leadership in Southeast Asia since 2006. Through this program, volunteers known as “Leadership Residents” are invited to stay in one of Harpswell’s residential leadership centres for university students, where they play an active role in mentoring, facilitating group discussions, and guiding young women through critical thinking and leadership development.

More than a traditional volunteer role.

Leadership Residents become part of a tight-knit community of bright, motivated Cambodian university students.

The work includes leading evening classes, supporting English language learning, organising workshops, and simply being a consistent, encouraging presence in the lives of future women leaders.

In return, participants receive free housing, meals, a monthly stipend, and insurance, which makes the experience financially accessible.
