A new host reached out through our Facebook community. A small beach guesthouse on Uruguayโ€™s sandy Atlantic coast is welcoming a pastry chef volunteer for January and February. The property has five rooms right by the sea and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere during the summer season. This exchange suits someone who enjoys early mornings, takes pride in neat kitchen work, and wants quiet afternoons to swim, read, or explore the coast. Pastry chef volunteer in Uruguay: what youโ€™ll do

You will prepare simple breakfast items for guests: breads, small cakes, cookies, muffins, maybe a tart or two, and keep the prep area clean. The focus is freshness and consistency rather than complex patisserie. Most work happens in the morning for a few hours, with the exact schedule agreed with the hosts. The minimum stay is two months, and the family is open to extending if everything runs smoothly.

The guesthouse is dog friendly and home to three affectionate dogs, so comfort around animals is important.

In exchange for your help you will receive accommodation and meals, plus the chance to practice recipes and share ideas with the hosts. The beach location makes it easy to enjoy long walks and ocean views after service. You do not need professional training, but you should be confident baking independently, following basic food hygiene, and communicating clearly about supplies. Couples or friends can apply individually if only one person bakes.

Hi,
Me and my partner run a small guesthouse on the beautiful, sandy coast of Uruguay Latin America. We offer 5 rooms on the beach, which make it a popular destination in summer. Our summer is from January- March.
I am looking for a female/male volunteer that would love to work a few hours during January and February as a Pastry Chef. It is mainly about desserts, pastries and breads to offer our guests as breakfast. Someone that loves doing this and would in exchange get a wonderful experience in nature, food and accommodation. And lots of love from our 3 dogs!
It’s really not a full day of work, we just ask a few hours of your time and for the rest you can enjoy all the beauty this place has to offer. It will be for the full 2 months and maybe longer if it all works out.
