We are a small historical hostel functioning since 1960, located right on the main beach in the center of Zihuatanejo in the state of Guerrero.
We are looking for motivated volunteers willinging to support our small hostel & cultural center. We accept 1-2 volunteers at a time, depending on the availability, whose role is to help around the hostel with general tasks of cleaning, maintenance, gardening, attending the guests, helping in the kitchen, marketing, social media, and organization. In return the volunteers receive a bed in a shared room that has its own bathroom, access to the kitchen, the garden and outside areas with chairs and hammocks.
We are looking for responsible volunteers, who share our values and are interested in helping a small business while getting to learn about the local culture. There are no entry requirements, although the volunteer should be able to:
communicate in both Spanish and English at least of a basic level;
Being available for at least 2 weeks of commitment
and it would be useful if they have interest in one of the areas related to the project, which can be hotel management, gardening, communication and social media.
There is no cost. Volunteers receive a bed in a shared room with a private bathroom in exchange for more or less five hours of work a day, five days a week.
