Volunteers help with the everyday rhythm of the farm and community. Tasks can include preparing shared meals, caring for animals, keeping common spaces clean, harvesting and processing crops, and supporting seasonal projects and simple maintenance. No previous farming experience is required, but a cooperative attitude and willingness to learn matter. Weekends are free, and the program is currently described as open to people aged 20โ50, with a minimum stay of one month encouraged for a more immersive experience.

Puerto Viejo is known for its vibrant culture, Afro-Caribbean influence, and access to beaches and rainforest. If you are looking for a slower, community-based stay in Costa Rica, this can be a meaningful way to learn by doing and spend time close to nature.
