About Knipnäs – Centre for Wellbeing

Knipnäs is a historic building located in Tammisaari (Ekenäs), a district within the city of Raseborg in southern Finland. Completed in 1935, it originally served as a hospital under the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District until 1996.

In the early 2000s, the city of Ekenäs acquired the property, repurposing it for educational use by Axxell, a Swedish-language vocational school.

Today, Knipnäs functions as a Centre for Wellbeing, hosting courses, retreats, and art exhibitions, providing accommodation options for visitors. The centre emphasises community living, where volunteers and residents participate in daily operations and events.
