La Palma volunteer project /hostel exchange – Proactive and social people, chill hostel, not a party hostel. Normally, we receive guests over 30 years old. Better if it’s a girl to balance the team and speak fluent Spanish.

We are 2 friends, Mane (Chilean) and Ale (Italian), in our early 30s, who decided to open a Hostel on the beautiful Island of La Palma after some years of travelling/ living around the world and having experiences as volunteers in different kinds of projects.
We are hardworking and put our heart and soul into this project. We are the kind of people who when we do something we like to do it well, and we expect the same from our future volunteers 🙂
Our hostel is very new, we opened in February 2019, with a capacity for 28 people, spacious dorms, clean bathrooms, some common areas where you can relax (library and 2 little patios) and socialise with other travellers in the main common room (living/dining room).
We are located right in the centre of Los Llanos de Aridane, close to everything; bars, restaurants, supermarkets and the main bus station where you can easily take all the connections to discover the treasures of this amazing Island!
Help
We are looking for helpers from around the world to stay with us! We normally form a 4 people team (2 girls and 2 boys).
For now, we need help with cleaning, tidying, socialising with our guests and some reception tasks (check in- check out), opening and closing common areas, taking care of the plants, small maintenance tasks. Every Friday Sangria night, we expect our volunteers to be active in sharing with the guests.

Accommodation
We offer a free bed in a shared (with another volunteer), also provide some food (mostly vegetarian, some veggies and fruits, basics like pasta, rice, potatoes, couscous, eggs, flour, oil, spices, tea, coffee, bread) plus there is always free food that guests leave.
We have WIFI in all common areas (some rooms too), Tv with Netflix, board games, equipped shared kitchen; boiler, toaster, oven, fridge and space for your personal food.
What else
- Speaking English or Spanish is a MUST
- Minimum stay is 6 weeks (1-week trial)
- No maximum…Always depends on how it goes for both sides.
- We can host couples or friends
- We are flexible with schedule and hope you can be also.

What’s the mission of your community? 🎯
As slow travellers, we are very thankful to have the opportunity to enjoy and taste the cultures, learn many different tasks while volunteering that helped us to discover what we really wanted in life. The idea to have a hostel was born while volunteering. As hosts, we want to share our experiences and offer a fair exchange. In our hostel, we try to build a family team and make a nice international atmosphere, keep travelling by sharing experiences.

By Ferry from Tenerife.
