ESC Volunteering to renovate the activities of a community centre in Tuscany (for EU residents ONLY)

CIF Vicopisano is a small organization that offers afterschool activities for children and learning opportunities for all ages. They are looking for a motivated candidate to join the team of 4 European Solidarity Corps volunteers. As a volunteer, will be involved in educational and recreational activities for children, will contribute to the promotion of the organization and you will help organize events for the local community.

• Location: Vicopisano (Pisa), Italy
• Applicants: 1 male and 1 female volunteers,
• aged 18-30 from EU Countries only
• Project dates: starting ASAP, ending in July 2022
• Hosting institution: Centro Italiano Femminile (CIF) Vicopisano

Volunteers’ tasks From June to September

you will be actively involved in the summer camps for local children through outdoor activities, games, workshops, sport, trips out of town and an after-school programme to help kids with summer homework.

From November to the middle of June you will support the centre with these activities:

• Help the staff organize activities for children and the community:
• Create and help manage new activities or workshops;
• Support the after-school programme, helping children with their homework;
• Organize language workshops to share knowledge of your native language;
• Support:
  • the educators who manage the daily life of the centre;
  • teachers, educators and the staff members in educational activities with adults and elderly people;
  • the communication of the centre on social media, create new promotional materials.

1. MUST be
   1. aged between 18 and 30;
   2. resident in an EU country;
   3. an open-minded young person with a positive attitude to work in an education and training programme;
   4. ready and motivated to interact with local people and live a deep cultural experience;
   5.  willing to collaborate and work in a team.

Do you charge volunteers a daily or weekly fee?

No, we offer free food and accommodation – This is an ESC/Erasmus+ opportunity so you’ll get all of the ESC benefits out of it.
