Stagones Social Cooperative is a small eco-community on Evia Island in Greece.

Several families with young children live and work together in nature. They focus on natural building, organic farming and democratic education. In the past, they hosted European Solidarity Corps volunteers for six-month projects that mixed eco-building, farming and educational activities with local children. Volunteers lived simply in a rural place, helped in the gardens, learned natural construction techniques and joined community events. For non-ESC volunteers, Stagones offers food and a place to set up a tent in exchange for about five hours of help per day. Life is basic and very close to nature, so it suits people who enjoy outdoor work and simple living. The dates in this listing are from 2020, but the cooperative is still active. Anyone interested should write directly to Stagones to ask about current ESC and non-ESC opportunities.
