We are looking for a warm and friendly person who speaks English to help at a forest kindergarten in Åubniany, about 15 km from Opole in Poland. Volunteers support activities with children, help with the animals and in the garden.
Host type and mission
The forest kindergarten that operates in the Fairytale Forest is the main project of the âFairytale Forestâ Foundation (Fundacja Bajkowy Las). The foundation organises outdoor birthdays for children and adults, corporate events and visits for schools, kindergartens and other groups in a beautiful natural setting with animals.
The mission of the project is to promote forestry, alternative education and the forest as a learning space. The foundation focuses on ecological education for children and parents and has been running the forest kindergarten since 3 September 2018, as well as organising different events in the forest for people of all ages.
Tasks and expectations
Volunteers help in the daily life of the forest kindergarten and the Fairytale Forest area. Typical tasks can include simple support during activities with children, helping to care for the animals and basic work in the garden and outdoor spaces. Tasks may change with the seasons and current events, so it is important to agree details directly with the hosts before arrival.
Hours of help
The hosts expect about 30 hours of help per week. The exact schedule and days off should be discussed in advance with the foundation, depending on activities and events.
Food and accommodation
We offer free food and accommodation.
Fees transparency
There is no volunteer participation fee mentioned by the hosts. Volunteers should only pay for their own personal expenses and travel to and from the project. As always, please confirm all conditions directly with the hosts before making travel plans.
