European Solidarity Corps call for Romania – Experiential Learning Forum

Are you from an EU or partner country and curious about Experiential Learning Forum ESC volunteering in Romania?
This ongoing European Solidarity Corps project brings together young people to learn new skills, share ideas and work with youth in different communities around Brașov and rural Romania, using non formal education, experiential learning and EU values as the main tools.

Short term ESC volunteering + festival vibes

Each edition of the Experiential Learning Forum combines short term ESC volunteering with a colourful summer festival.
International teams of volunteers support workshops, outdoor games, creative corners and concerts that promote non formal education, solidarity and Erasmus+ or ESC opportunities.
Most rounds take place between June and September, so check the current call for exact dates and duration.

General info

Through this ESC project the organisers aim to promote volunteering, inclusion and participation through a large scale event and follow up activities.
During the Experiential Learning Forum in Romania you will help design and run festival activities, support outreach in schools and communities, create social media content and help other ESC volunteers discover the benefits of the programme.

Life at the project

You will live with other ESC volunteers in shared accommodation in or around Brașov, surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers.
During the project you can expect village visits, urban events, outdoor adventures, evenings by the campfire and at least one bigger Experiential Learning Forum festival moment with music, colours and intercultural activities.

Benefits
  1. ESC covers your accommodation, food allowance or meals, pocket money and a contribution to travel costs, according to programme rules.
  2. You will join trainings, mentoring and follow up workshops that support your personal and professional development, plus receive a Youthpass certificate at the end.
  3. The project is a chance to practice English, meet new friends, explore Romania and gain experience in facilitation, event organising, communication and community work.
Is it you they are looking for?

The Experiential Learning Forum usually looks for volunteers aged 18 to 30 who live in an EU country or eligible partner country, are motivated to spend several weeks in Romania, enjoy working with young people and are ready to learn by doing.
You do not need perfect English or previous experience, only an open mind, flexibility and curiosity.
