Join an incredible event for folk musicians and music lovers (2019 edition)
In 2019, an international folk music performance projectย in Kleszczele, Poland invited volunteer musicians from different countries to take part in a travelling festival.
The project ran from 15 August to 30 September 2019 and combined concerts, creative workshops and community-building activities.
Volunteers played traditional music from their home countries, joined mixed ensembles and participated in workshops in singing, acting and team building. The organizers looked for people who could sing and play an instrument, were passionate about folk / ethno music and open to improvisation and experiments on stage.
Benefits (2019 call)
For the 2019 edition, selected participants received funded support through the European Solidarity Corps program: one-way travel tickets, accommodation, money for food, pocket money and visa support where needed. Future editions, if organized, may have different conditions.
Application process (for the 2019 edition)
Applicants were asked to record a short video (up to 3 minutes) of themselves singing or playing a folk song from their country, then send a motivation letter, CV and the video link with the subject line ยซMUSIC WERTEP TEAMยป.
