Housesitting tag section. – For those who go on long term vacation, it is good to be able to leave -at least for some time- the care of their home to someone else. In many cases we leave our home with more than one concern: animals, work in progress, the risk of theft and so on.

For those who have these anxieties, they can count on the housesitters, the one who takes care of your house when you’re not there.

Most of the time, the housesitting tasks are entrusted to a friend or relative, but sometimes it is necessary to turn to travellers-strangers which can be contacted via specific sites. These travellers may be looking for a cheap accommodation (indeed, free) for a medium-long period of time, and for various reasons: work, new personal experiences, or just an escape from everyday life.

Before leaving, it is good to stipulate a very clear agreement with the temporary guardians – the housesitters.

If you leave the housesitters with your animals, it is advisable to get them accustomed to each other’s presence before your departure. Better to avoid unpleasant surprises.
