Group volunteering 👥
Explore group volunteering opportunities for friends, student groups, associations, community organisations and other teams that want to volunteer together.
Projects may involve conservation, farming, renovation, community activities, cultural initiatives, events or other practical work. Group size, dates, accommodation and activities vary considerably between hosts.
What is group volunteering? 👥
Group volunteering refers to opportunities that explicitly welcome a pre-formed group or are organised around a volunteer team. Simply having space for several unrelated volunteers at the same time does not necessarily make an opportunity a group programme.
Group projects, workcamps and volunteering teams
Group volunteering can overlap with other formats, but they are not identical. A workcamp usually brings individual participants together for a short-term group project, while some European Solidarity Corps opportunities are organised as volunteering teams with their own eligibility and funding rules.
How to use this page
Before organising a group trip, confirm the minimum and maximum group size, available dates, activities, weekly hours, accommodation, meals, transport, minimum stay and any fees or deposits. Ask whether one group coordinator is required and whether the host has enough supervision, equipment and appropriate activities for everyone.
If minors or participants needing additional support are involved, confirm supervision, safeguarding responsibilities and accommodation arrangements in advance.
