What does free mean?

It means the hosts and organisations featured on this page do not charge a participation fee for the volunteering experience. In most cases, they offer food and accommodation in exchange for around 4 to 5 hours of help per day (each listing may vary, so always check the details).

Please note that hosts do not cover travel costs (flights, trains, etc.).
In most cases, they also cannot cover visa costs or provide invitation letters.

A monthly stipend is generally not included.
