Volunteer on a small eco farm in Montseny nature reserve

Two eco farm volunteers sitting in a forest clearing in the Montseny nature reserve in Catalonia, Spain, with a bicycle and camping gear at an off grid self sufficient project

Live simply in the Montseny nature reserve in Catalonia and help a small off grid eco farm near Arbúcies. The host grows vegetables for self sufficiency and local markets and needs up to three volunteers for gardening, wood cutting, maintenance and general help. Volunteers sleep in tents, share a basic kitchen and receive vegetarian breakfast and lunch on agreed working days, usually around four hours of help with at least two days per week. It is a quiet forest setting with rivers and hiking trails nearby, ideal for people who want to practise Spanish or Catalan, learn about low impact living and enjoy nature. As this description comes from the original 2020 presentation, always confirm current arrangements directly with the host before travelling.
