Fort Portal Uganda Volunteering with PLANE

Eco-club day at a rural primary school. Pupils present hand-drawn posters, then rotate through short stations on seed selection, nursery bed care, mulching and watering routines. A teacher shows how to reuse jerricans as drip kits and how to sort classroom waste for compost. Each class adopts a row of seedlings and logs survival rates in a simple chart. Fridays become garden hour, with a student green captain and a teacher patron. The winning class earns storybooks and extra playtime. Parents are invited to help fence the nursery and bring bottle cuttings for propagation. Small steps build steady climate habits.
