This exact spot is one of the most photographed locations within Ta Prohm and one of the reasons it’s nicknamed the “jungle temple.” The way the tree roots spill over the ancient stones, embracing and devouring them at the same time, creates an unforgettable visual that symbolizes the fusion—and tension—between nature and civilization.

Because of its cinematic beauty, this corner of the temple was also prominently featured in Tomb Raider (2001). The temple has since become one of the most visited and beloved in the Angkor complex, often considered a must-see even for those short on time.
