Hostel volunteer London opportunity shared via our Facebook group. ๐ฉโ Saint James Backpackers in Kensington and Chelsea, London, welcomes friendly volunteers to support daily hostel life. You will help with simple housekeeping, tidying shared areas and guest support while learning how a sociable city hostel runs. In return, you get free breakfast and dinner each day, a bed in the hostel and access to welcoming community spaces. The schedule is 25 hours per week across five days, leaving two days free to explore London. Stays are flexible, and a positive, respectful attitude matters more than experience.
English is useful and you will be part of an international team.

Saint James Backpackers is an independent hostel set in a classic London townhouse in Kensington and Chelsea. The atmosphere is sociable and relaxed, with a large communal table and a leafy garden where volunteers and guests often share meals or music. Facilities include dorms and private rooms, comfortable lounges, and an on-site gym, with cafรฉs, shops, and transport links close by. From here itโs easy to reach Hyde Park and the museums of South Kensington. The team values kindness, good communication, and practical help that keeps shared spaces welcoming for everyone.
Volunteers join a friendly international community and often take part in casual activities like movie nights or guitar jams.
