One Caucasus is an annual free festival and NGO based in the village of Tserakvi, in Georgiaโs Kvemo Kartli region, close to the borders with Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Since 2014 it has brought together musicians, educators, architects and activists from across the Caucasus and many other countries to promote dialogue, peacebuilding and cross-border cooperation through music, workshops and community projects.
Volunteers are at the heart of the event. Each year a big international volunteer program recruits people for several weeks in August to help design and run the festival. They typically join thematic teams such as construction, workshops, media, architecture or logistics, and many are sent into nearby villages to co-create projects with local children and residents, from films and photo stories to small public spaces that later feature in the festivalโs gallery and screenings.
Recent coverage shows the festival was active and celebrating its 10th edition in August 2024, with hundreds of volunteers from dozens of countries, and the organizers speak about plans for the coming years, so it is very likely that similar volunteer calls will appear for the 2025 edition.
To get involved you should keep an eye on the official One Caucasus website and their social media channels, where they usually publish detailed volunteer calls, role descriptions and application forms in the months leading up to the next festival.
