Imagine a big, round structure that looks like half of a soccer ball. This is called a geodesic dome. It’s made by connecting many triangles together, creating a strong and lightweight building. The triangles work together to evenly spread out any weight or pressure, making the dome very sturdy. Because of this clever design, geodesic domes can cover large areas without needing internal supports like columns or pillars. This makes them useful for things like sports arenas, exhibition halls, and even some homes. The famous Spaceship Earth at EPCOT in Walt Disney World is a great example of a geodesic dome.
