This project is at Château de Grand-Varennes in Serbonnes, near Sens, about 100 km from Paris in France.
It is a private home and future artist residence where volunteers help with building renovation, cleaning and gardening in a park that is being transformed into a permaculture garden. Volunteers usually help 4–5 hours per day for 4 days a week, with free food and accommodation in comfortable double rooms. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with time to enjoy the river, motorboats, village life and easy weekend trips to Paris.
