Transformers Mathare is a community-based organization in Nairobi, Kenya, dedicated to improving living conditions in the Mathare slums through education, vocational training, and empowerment initiatives. They offer programs in tailoring, computer programming, carpentry, community health, climate change mitigation, sustainable agriculture, and livelihood development. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome year-round to assist with various projects, including research, grant writing, and skill development. In exchange for their support, volunteers receive accommodation and meals, with opportunities for cultural exchange and community immersion.
