CLED Ghana is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young people with learning differences and special needs.
Based in Ghana, it provides assessment, intervention, educator training, school support services, and awareness programs. Volunteers contribute in areas such as teaching, clinical screening, career and transition counseling, Irlen Syndrome awareness, handwashing outreach, medical shadowing, and administration tasks like fundraising and social media. Placements run year-round, short-term (4â12 weeks) or long-term (up to 45 weeks), with volunteers helping 4â5 hours a day, five days a week. Participants stay with host families, receive meals, cultural immersion, certificates, and local experiences. A daily fee of $25 covers accommodation, food, airport pickup, and utilities.
