This communal living project is run by a group of friends in Las Vegas who share a big, social home near the Strip.
They often host many travellers at the same time, sometimes up to 25 people, and invite volunteers to help keep the house running. Volunteers support with basic hostel-style tasks such as cleaning, kitchen duties, simple maintenance and sometimes helping to organise trips or showing guests around the city. The usual schedule is about 4 to 5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week, with 2 days off. In exchange, volunteers get free shared accommodation and usually breakfast and lunch on work days. They pay for their own dinners, food on days off and personal expenses when going out. Life in the house is very social, with constant interaction, shared meals and outings in Las Vegas and nearby nature areas. Privacy is limited, so it suits outgoing people.
