Negaar Varzaneh Traditional Guest House is a small, friendly guesthouse in the desert town of Varzaneh, in Iranโ€™s Isfahan province.

Volunteers can stay in this restored traditional house and help with tourism promotion, general upkeep and small community projects linked to sustainability, music, handicrafts and medicinal plants. The guesthouse has seven private rooms with bathrooms, a kitchen, an office and relaxed common areas, and it also runs a tour desk for trips to sand dunes, the nearby salt lake, caravanserai and historic sites. In exchange for help, volunteers receive a private room when available and three home cooked meals each day. Varzaneh is easy to reach from Isfahan by bus or taxi, and the atmosphere is calm compared to the big cities. This exchange suits independent travellers who enjoy desert landscapes, local culture and sharing daily life with guests, staff and other volunteers in a traditional Iranian setting.
