International Education and Volunteering in Vietnam (IEV) is a small social enterprise in Hanoi that offers low cost or free English and soft skill classes to local people.

Volunteers live in a shared volunteer house, receive free food and accommodation and, in the original information, a small allowance of about 60 USD per month for daily costs. In return, they help teach English and soft skills for up to 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and join some charity and community projects in poorer areas around Hanoi. No teaching certificate is required, but volunteers should be over 18, speak fluent English with a clear accent and commit to at least eight weeks. The project suits sociable and responsible people who want to experience Vietnamese culture, share everyday life with locals and other volunteers, and travel on days off. Always confirm current conditions, timetable and visa requirements directly with the organisation before applying.
