The Jenin Creative Cultural Centre (J3C) is a youth led community centre in the city of Jenin, in the north of the West Bank, Palestine. It was created in 2005 as a peaceful response to violence in the Jenin refugee camp. The centre uses art, culture and education to support local children and young people and to promote ideas of peace, justice and equality. International volunteers with skills in languages, art, music, dance, photography, film, computers, ecology or agriculture can help lead workshops and support local activities. J3C also organises theatre, music, puppet and clown shows in schools and sometimes shares its projects abroad. The organisation runs on limited resources, so volunteers should expect simple conditions and ask if any small contribution for utilities is requested. Because Jenin is in a conflict affected area, it is important to check current travel advice and discuss safety and accommodation carefully with the centre.
