In todayâs interconnected world, work abroad volunteer jobs are an accessible way to discover new cultures, gain skills, and support meaningful projects. Some options are fully paid jobs, others are work exchanges or volunteering programs in which you receive food and accommodation in return for your help. Always read the conditions carefully and avoid offers that are unclear about hours, fees, or what is included.

I’m trying to find whom I should contact to volunteer to help out in Ukraine. Can you direct me? I have a translation degree in German-English; I speak some Russian and Dutch. I’ve worked most of my employed life in housing construction – structure, plumbing and electrical principles are the same throughout the world – just the measuring scale and building codes are somewhat different.
I’ve lived multiple years in : The Netherlands, Russian Federation, Germany.
I am personable and get along well with most people.
I would like to enter Ukraine from Poland driving a van; perhaps something like a Ford Transit or VW Caravelle.
If I enter as described above, what volunteering opportunities would be available? I’d like to arrive later in the summer.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Richard Sterkel
