The BaToRo Project, short for “Back to Roots,” is an eco-sustainable community initiative established in April 2017 in northern Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. The project focuses on creating an ecologically conscious and family-oriented community space that promotes sustainable living, permaculture, and communal well-being.
Situated on a 10,000 m² finca between the mountains and the northern coastline near Valle de Guerra, the project features tropical fruit gardens, including mango, papaya, lemon, orange, and avocado trees, as well as 6,000 m² of greenhouses. The community is developing an eco-glamping area with yurts and a workshop space for activities such as yoga, dance, and meditation.
