Vietnam lends itself to volunteer trips and vacations of all kinds: from relaxing vacations sunbathing on pristine white beaches to trips designed for snorkelling. From cultural visits to discovering Taoist temples to vacations in search of other monuments related to this country’s history.

Between the legendary battles against the Ming Dynasty and the historical events of the Vietnam War, this state has a lot of stories to tell.

Volunteering in Vietnam… for independent travellers!

Most of these opportunities are completely free (you receive free food and accommodation in exchange for your voluntary work). Others may require a daily/monthly contribution fee for the food and the accommodation. A few organizations can offer payment or pocket money. Remember that many areas in Vietnam are still developing and volunteering can’t always be a ‘free’ thing.
