A few kilometers from Bolonia, on the Costa de La Luz, we find Tarifa, one of the most beautiful seaside resorts and beaches in the whole of Andalucia. It is the closest point to the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean Sea joins the Atlantic Ocean. Golden sandy beaches, historic center of great cultural interest, a truly interesting history and a nightlife that does not envy islands such as Formentera or Mallorca as well as the ideal place for those who love surfing or kitesurfing.

Tarifa, the meeting point of the two continents

The city of Tarifa is located 14 km from Morocco, the southernmost point is called “the tip of Tarifa” and here we find a small islet that takes the name of “Isola de Las Palomas” connected to the mainland with a piece of Street. This city is considered, precisely for this reason, the junction point between the African and European continent.

Here, a very interesting phenomenon occurs, in fact this city is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, a symbolic place of great historical and mythological interest: The Pillars of Hercules.

Best beaches of all Andalusia…

The Andalusian city has 10 kilometers of coastline, the beaches of Tarifa are famous for the particular white color and also for the nature that surrounds them. In particular, among the best beaches we find Playa Chica, Caleta and Playa de los Lances, pristine and voted among the best in all of Europe.

Because of the wind, Tarifa’s beaches are famous for kitesurfing and windsurfing, which can be practiced throughout the summer season. Among the best beaches in Andalusia there is also that of Punta Paloma, this is located in the north of Tarifa and is famous for the windmills that are lined up on the hills.
