Hospitality and Language Exchange in Tarifa – Hi everyone, My name is Rober and I am a lover of sports, the sea, the mountains, meditation, nature in general and life in freedom. Recently I rented a space with a mobile home, caravan and tend, 200 meters from one of the best beaches in Spain, in Tarifa, Cรกdiz, called Playa de Valdevaqueros. Tarifa is the European capital of the wind.
I am almost 32 years old and I have a very quiet life. More than 2 years ago I left my comfortable life in a company as IT and now I’m going in my own way, although it is not being easy it is very enriching.

My main project will focus on renting some rooms, kitesurfing lessons and growing my web project on kitesurfing. And learn a lot of English, for sure ๐

- 4-5 hours of help per day

- 5 days per week – 2 days off
Note about the volunteer work and other expectations
I’m looking for a friend, someone easygoing, someone to share culture. So, your work will be teaching me English for 2 hours per day (sometimes my girlfriend can join us), maybe cleaning or cooking for us. The place is 15 km from Tarifa town, in the Natural Park del Estrecho. You can find many things to do, many places to discover and many people from different countries, Tarifa have a special energy, you love it, for sure.

Diet – nutrition information
I’m vegetarian but not 100% but I don’t buy meat or fish, I can eat if I go out with friends although I try don’t do that. So, if you wanna eat meat or fish during the weeks you will need to spend your money, sorry.

No! we cannot help with Visa/invitation letters – similar requests will be ignored.
Volunteers’ benefits
If you don’t know any word in Spanish that is perfect, it will be your best opportunity to learn a new language or if you wish improve. Tarifa and the place where I live it’s really amazing. I can teach you Spanish, kitesurfing, Spanish cooking, more sports or anything that we can imagine.
What to do in your free time
Discover the area. Meet many people from different countries, and enjoy the quiet life, parties, concerts. Many many things you can do it.

How to get to your site
The nearest airport is Gibraltar, and then comes Jerez, Malaga, and Sevilla.
After, you need to come by bus or car. Tarifa is safe and easy arrive.

Hi Rober!
I appreciate you have said you can accept only one volunteer but I’m hoping I can throw in a bit of a curve ball that you may consider! We’re a couple travelling in our campervan with our very friendly dog, so we already have our own accommodation and would just need somewhere to park with access to electricity. We’re native speakers and would love the opportunity to help teach you English in return for us learning some Spanish. We’d also LOVE to have a go at kitesurfing!

We were in Tarifa a couple of days ago and loved the vibe of the place, we’re now just over an hour away in Barbate so not too far ๐ we’re laid back and free for any duration as we plan to travel for at least a year.
