What is a Summer camp?

Summer camps are a week-long vacation where recreational and educational activities take place; usually, they are intended for a very young audience, however, there are opportunities for people of all ages.
Summer Camps are the holiday for children who want to live an experience away from home (abroad or in the same country). There are camps organized inside colonies, large dormitories or touristic villages, other associations choose instead to organize their activities in hotels or hostels, both for the sake of convenience and safety for the participants.

Summer camp programs… for independent travellers!
Most of these opportunities are free (you receive free food and accommodation in exchange for voluntary work). Others require may require a daily/monthly contribution fee for the food and the accommodation.

For this reason, all of your money will go directly to support the hosting organization and the summer camp administration. This is also why you will find that the fees for the volunteering experiences, when requested, are generally much lower than the usual.
